Per Hedén, MD

Stockholm, Sweden

Per Hedén, MD, is an associate professor of plastic surgery at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden, as well as founder and head of plastic surgery at Akademikliniken in Stockholm and London, England.

Dr Hedén earned his medical degree at the Karolinska Institute, where he also completed his training and received a doctoral degree in plastic surgery.

He is a member of the International Society for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American Society  of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Swedish Society for Plastic Surgery, and Swedish Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, among others. Dr Hedén also serves as a jury member, tutor, and faculty opponent and medical students’ dissertations and a research advisor for young plastic surgeons.

A member of the board of reviewers of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr Hedén has contributed several chapters to plastic surgery textbooks and has authored or coauthored numerous articles in such journals as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Clinics in Plastic Surgery, and other peer-reviewed publications. His patient-oriented book, Plastic Surgery and You, has been translated and published in English and Russian.

A frequent presenter and moderator at medical congresses worldwide, Dr Hedén has also been an invited lecturer at medical education programs. For more than a decade, he has participated in clinical studies in breast surgery.


Dawid Murawa (M.D., Ph.D.)

Graduated with special distinction from Poznan University of Medical Science in 2001. From 2003 he was working in First Department of General and Oncological Surgery in Wielopolska Center of Oncology (Poznań). Specialisation: general surgery (2003-2009), oncological surgery (2010-2012). In 2004 he finished his doctoral studies with special distinction. In 2012 he wrote a dissertation entitled ‚Surgical treatment on mammary gland cancer combined with radiotherapy – new challenge for surgery’. 2005-2006 Dawid Murawa received a prestigious scholarship ‚Ernst von Leyden’form German Oncological Society thanks to which he was able to work in Oncological Surgery Clinic, Charite University in Berlin. He has also received many other scholarships, including the one from  European Society of Surgical Oncology. Awarded by ‚Hipolit Cegielski Society’(Poznań) for his pro publico bono activity. He reviews articles about stomach cancer for European Journal of Surgical Oncology. Doctor Murawa coordinates a variety of scientific project and researches, both in Poland and abroad. His main professional interests are: stomach cancer, colorectal cancer and skin cancer (especially melanoma).


Henryk Witmanowski (M.D., Ph.D.)

General and plastic surgery specialist. Graduated from Poznan University of Medical Science in 1982. He began his career in Cardiac Surgery Clinic in Poznań. He has done an internships at Colony Institute of Experimental Surgery (Germany) and Sapporo Transplantation Centre (Japan). Doctor Witmanowski completed his specialisation on plastic surgery at Plastic Surgery Clinic in Łódż. From 2010 he is leading Plastic, Reconstruction and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic in Bydgoszcz. He is also an university tutor and author of more than 180 articles and publications.


Sławomir Cieśla (M.D., Ph.D.)

General and oncological surgery specialist. He has done numerous internships in Poland and abroad (Germany, Austria, USA and Denmark). He received a scholarship from German Surgeon Society. He is an author of about 50 articles published both in Polish and international press. He is also co-author of the book entitled ‚Breast reconstruction-current techniques’(2012).

From more than 15 year he is popularising the use of oncoplastic surgical methods on breast and skin treatment. He is a precursor of breast reconstructions after mastectomy caused by cancer.


Małgorzata Kolenda (M.D., Ph.D.)

Graduated from Poznan University of Medical Science, specialist surgeon. She gained her experience at surgery department of the Franciszek Raszeja Hospital in Poznań, expert surgeon who has been cooperating with the Kolasinski Clinic since 1994.

 She has  participated in many professional trainings in the field of breast surgeries, chemical abrasion of the skin and the treatment of facial wrinkles both in the USA and Western Europe.

 She is also the president of the Polish Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery as well as a board member of the Polish Society of Anti-Aging Medicine.

 She is an author and coauthor of many lectures delivered and papers published in reputable Polish and foreign magazines devoted to hair restoration and aesthetic surgery. In 2013 she admitted as Fellow of The International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.


Dominika Kolasińska-Szkutnik (M.A)

Graduated from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, she is a psychologist and certified psychotherapist Gestalt (PTPG, CP). She completed 4-years long studies at Gestalt Therapy Institute in Cracow. She has participated in many professional trainings and conferences about psychotherapy. She has done internships in Adult Psychiatric Clinic (Poznan University od Medical Science) and Paul Giraud Hospital (Villejuif, France). She also works as academic tutor at University od Social Sciences ad Humanities (Poznań). From two years she is co-operating with Association MONAR and Treatment, Rehabilitation and Therapy Center of Addictions.

For many years she has her own psychotherapy centre where she works especially with adults and teenagers. Her professional interests concern psychological aspects of aesthetic and reconstruction surgery.

Dr n.med Marek Budner

Marek Budner (M.D., Ph.D.)

Graduated from Poznan University of Medical Science, gynecology specialist, for many years engaged in correction and reconstruction breast surgery. From 1979 to 1990 worked as an assistant in Institute of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Poznan University of Medical Science. From 1990 to 2002 deputy manager in Hanse Klinikum Stralsund Clinic in Germany. From 2002 Chefarzt (Chief Physician) in Women’s Disease and Obstetrics Clinic, as well as Breast Unit in Hellios Klinikum Bad Saarow, Germany. He is a member of the numerous scientific associations both in Poland and Germany. He is a qualified ‚Brustoperateur’ which allows him to carry out training and workshops about the breast surgery in Germany. Honorary member of the Polish Gynecological and Obstetrics Society. Doctor Bunder is actively engaged in publications and trainings devoted to breast surgery.
